Sony music wanted to create an explainer video to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Usher’s My Way album. This explainer focuses on the making of the iconic R&B pop album as well as the legacy it still has on the music industry today. We worked with Art Director Barbara Rego to create the look and feel of the video.
Process
We were tasked with developing an animation direction that recreated low-fi stop motion movements to pair well with the photography and footage from the making of the album that Sony had provided us. We included easter eggs through the collage elements that reference parts of the music videos and songs on the album that fans will easily be able to spot.
